Finally-A Smile on Camera!!

Every morning Lily wakes up, eats, then spends about 30 minutes doing this! Isn't it the best? She coo's and goo's and smiles so big. She loves her cheeks to be pinched too!
I haven't taken Lily to church yet, I want her blessing to be the big debut. But, we did go to a wedding reception of one of Buz's good friends. Doesn't she just look so adorable? We decided to try her in her Bumbo. She doesn't exactly know what's going on. She loves to sit forward to see out when we hold her, so I think it threw her off that she was sitting up on her own! I couldn't resist...the best double chin in the world! (And I'm referring to Lily's!)

Tagged!

  1. Attached or Single? Attached, officially for almost 3 years, but our first date was just over 7 years ago!

  1. Best Friends? Of course Buz, but I’ve still got Megs from high school, Lindsey from college, and my married buds Jacy and Whitney.

  1. Cake or Pie? Definitely cake, as long as there’s frosting!

  1. Day of Choice? I like Saturdays because Buz doesn’t have to work or go to school, and we can run around town together.

  1. Essential Item? My cell phone, I feel lost and alone without it. Also, mascara. I feel naked without it.

  1. Favorite Color? Red, but not due to any association to the U! I just like the color.

  1. Greatest Accomplishment? Marrying my best friend and having the sweetest baby in the world together.

  1. Hometown? Born in Wichita, Kansas, but I call Salt Lake home.

  1. Indulgences? As previously mentioned, frosting. My favorite is on sugar cookies, but I’ll take it on cake, graham crackers with milk, or all by itself!

  1. January or July? I don’t really love the cold, and what is better than a swimming pool or lake? I would definitely say July.

  1. Kids? I think my blog answers that question-one adorable little girl.

  1. Life is incomplete without…Frosting! Just kidding, I’ll give a different answer. Besides the obvious family, life is incomplete without a little TLC. I always love a little time to get my hair done, manicure, pedicure, shopping, etc.!

  1. Marriage Date? June 18th, 2005

  1. Number of siblings? 3, and 6 step-siblings

  1. Oranges or Apples? I like both, any fruit works for me!

  1. Phobias or fears? I don’t like to think about that one!

  1. Quotes? Nothing is coming to mind…

  1. Reason to Smile? Watching Lily grow.

  1. Season? Fall, definitely. Summer’s a little too blistering hot, and fall is a little cooler with a warm breeze. I also love the fall colors.

  1. Tag Three Friends…Ashlee Hansen, Paige Nelson, Jessica Nordhoff

  1. Unknown Fact About Me? I have one more course to get my Associates in Interior Design.

  1. Very Favorite Store? If money were not a factor, it would probably be Nordstrom for myself, Janie and Jack for Lily. Since money is a factor, I would have to say Banana Republic (sale rack!) and Gap. I also enjoy a good find at TJ Maxx or Ross.

  1. Worst Habit? Purchasing on a whim.

  1. X-Ray or Ultrasound? That is a weird question, and I’ve never had an x-ray, so ultrasound!

  1. Your Favorite Food? I don’t know, there’s too many out there. I used to absolutely love Alfredo Sauce, but pregnancy changed that. I guess I’m on the hunt for a new fave!

  1. Zodiac? I’m on the border of Gemini and Taurus. I don’t really know what that means, not too in to it all.

6 Weeks Old!

Wow how time flies! Lily will be 6 weeks tomorrow and she is so much fun. She's starting to smile in response and coos a lot! I love being a mom, and it's great having such an easy laid back baby. Don't you love that wrinkly skin?!!
Just a reference of size-I think she's around 7 1/2 pounds now!
Lily's Great-Grandma Jerry came in town for a couple of days. Lily was named after this Grandma, both of their middle names are Geraldine.

Getting Bigger Every Day

Isn't that just the sweetest face? I wouldn't say she loves her bath at this point in time! Daddy's got the magic touch. There's nothing like a sleeping baby.

Blog Layouts

So, after getting used to the blogging thing, I've found a few different ways to customize your page. One is found at http://cutestblogontheblock.blogspot.com/. It's the easiest way I've come across (thanks Megs!) Also, my sister-in-law, Ashlee, let me know about http://sjhblogdesign.blogspot.com/ which is a more detailed way to create your own layouts. It takes a lot longer to do, but it can be fun. Remember in college when we'd all spend hours and hours downloading music onto our computers? I feel like blogging has replaced that...you can get lost spending too much time doing it! Hopefully that helps anyone out there.
Here's a more updated picture of Lily. She seems to change every day, but I don't notice until I look back at pictures. It's so fun being a mom, I could just stare at her all day, in fact, I do! She's still pretty small, still wearing preemie outfits, but they seem to be a little short these days. We've been really lucky too. She's sleeping 6-7 hours straight every night! Hopefully it won't change, but you never know! So we've been out on a few walks! I'm banned from driving for at least another week (one of the many perks of having a c-section) and I've HAD to get out of the house. Buz has driven me to the mall and Target, I must say, but fresh air is always nice too. So, since it's been a little chilly, we decided we should bundle up Lily to make sure she stays warm. It was pretty funny looking, but she seemed to really enjoy all the layers!
